Louisville Equal Rights Association | Filson Historical Society | 2018-2019
The following link is the culmination of a year-long research project associated with the Filson Historical Society in Louisville, KY and the Director of Research, Dr. LeeAnn Whites.
Utilizing Ancestry.com, U.S. Census Data, the Filson Collection, and the University of Louisville Archives, research was collected regarding the thirty-five women on the 1895 Louisville Equal Rights Association membership list. From the gathered research, biographies for each individual were written. Corresponding photographs of their gravestones and 1895 residencies were taken in order to construct the digital maps featured on the webpage.
Responsibilities included development of a research plan, conducting the research and formulating a method of long-term research organization and maintenance.
